Core Athlete Profile: Drew Harvey

Age: 28 years old
Occupation: Project Manager (Construction) & President of Dawgpatch Bandits Inc.
Why DPB: To stay tapped in to the natural environment and what is achievable within it. To help grow an organization that gives back to the community it is a part of.
Favorite challenge: Northern United States Bike i.e. the “Ride for Recovery.” In looking back it was just the rawness of how we were able to complete it. Camping out every night, no days off, 120 mile a day average, 29 days total across the country. It felt like the Gods were on our side for it.
Most difficult challenge: Plumb Island Punch (Swim) for sure. It was the toughest mental and physical test to date for any single day out. Cold - deep water. Lots of sea life. Literally looking for excuses not to do it on the boat ride out to Gardiners Island for the dawn start. It was 5 miles of pure exposed swimming.
Next objective: Some sort of water crossing from Block Island to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard.
